Download the great rival to the X Factor champion Joe McElderry on MP3 from Amazon UK for just 29p and push this track closer to a seemingly improbable Christmas Number 1 spot!
There is real momentum behind the push to get this track into the Christmas Number One position which began on Facebook.
Be warned, though, the explicit version of “Killing in the Name” is VERY explicit, and should not be played in front of tiny ears.
If you want Rage Against the Machine to top the Xmas 2009 chart, though, 29p will see them receive on extra sale via Amazon UK – and they have confirmed that, despite many reports to the contrary, all purchases at 29p DO count towards the final UK chart.
Just click our link to visit Amazon UK and order this MP3 for the tiny total cost of 29p a pop! Please note we have linked to the non “family friendly” explicit version – extreme caution advised!
[UPDATE] Confirmed that ordering RATM on Amazon WILL count towards the UK Singles Chart.

Definitely worth it to show the music industry who really has the power
Also confirmed that the 29p download DOES count towards UK chart – don’t spend up to 99p on this track, buy 2 at Amazon!!
[...] Download Rage Against the Machine “Killing in the Name” on MP3 if you don’t want the X Factor winner Joe McElderry to be this year’s Christmas Number One track in the UK, which would be the thirty-seven-thousandth time in a row that Simon Cowell has managed to put some dolt on top of the chart, only to rescind the singer’s contract within mere moments of this fleeting success. [...]
Got nothing against Joe (apart from his blandness) but Simon Cowell shouldn’t get on his high horse about our ‘cynical’ action. I bought the ablbum in the 1990′s and i’ve downloaded it 4 times and will do it more if necessary.
Hmmm we have a decision to make…
1. Do we support a classic original song from a legendary bad that not only can sing and play their own instruments but also write lyrics with some genuine emotion and a message behind them? A band who is Also donating some of the proceeds from sales of their song to a UK charity which helps children progress their musical careers.
or
2. The Climb, a cover of the Miley Cyrus single from the Hannah Montana movie sung by some lad paid memorise the words, stand on stage and sing.
It’s not a difficult decision is it?
I actually really like RATM, they deserve this for 3 reasons at least:
1. anyone who buys the x factor single is tone deaf
2.the money is going to a charitable organization
3.Simon ‘douche bag’ Cowel has too too much power over the music industry and the the mindless sheep that we call the public
plus the raw emotion behind their lyrics and the fact about what it currently stands for, surely makes us the good guys
wow………..
CooL…. i Like this song…!!!
